Salemites
I guess it is about time that I sat down to blog. Life has been quite busy lately.
Here are a few things that have happened:
-At the beginning of this month, we moved into our new place. We are getting very close to being unpacked. So nice to get thru stuff and really figure out stuff we don't need.
-Ants have been a big issue at the house. They have been in almost every food cupboard in the kitchen, the pantry, and then they made their way upstairs thru the plumbing and into the hallway, kids' bathroom, and then our bathroom. We finally had enough and called the landlord who now has us set up on a quarterly visit schedule with an exterminator. It is so great to be taken care of like that.
-Peter and I ran the Santiam Scramble run. It was a bunch of craziness but it was such a awesome and fun time. It was five miles that included multiple straight up climbs, 6 creek crossings, and we spent the majority of the run not on trails, basically running thru branches and bushes. There was lots of snow and mud. Peter definitely feels like he has found a group he fits in with. I think we will be participating in these runs yearly now.
-Andrew is now signed up for kindergarten. Crazy to think that we are at that point but he is so excited.
-I met the other day with 5 other moms to talk about starting a preschool co-op for the kids that are Beck's age. We won't be officially starting until the fall but Beck keeps asking all the time about it. I am just excited at the fact we have so many young families in our ward to do this with.
-Camie is on the verge of officially walking. She will take steps here and there but then will realize she can do things faster by crawling. She is beginning to wave hi and bye and says "mama", "dada", "bye", and "night night". It is excited to know that she will be turning 1 next month. Speaking of which, local stinchfields/perrys: When are we doing the birthday celebrations for April? I was thinking the 23rd since we will be up that weekend for sure.
-I am continuing my marathon training. It is going well. I did 13.33 miles the week before last and felt so good. It was pouring rain the whole time but that made it so much better. I am busy trying to get the house settled and get things set up and make it feel like home. I have lots of plans for the decorating of the house but we gotta have the money to do it so I think it may have to wait until a little later.
-Peter is working hard at work and is busy with Portland Mormon Choir. They have their spring concert next month and he has been working hard at memorizing the songs.
We are looking forward to the many upcoming events of the summer and so excited to have everyone in the area in just a short while. We love you all and can't wait to see you guys soon.

Leave it to a 3 year old...
To make you feel so good one day...
We get the Athleta catalog in the mail and on the cover of the most recent one is a blond woman running (it is the front page on the website). The night we got it I told Peter I wanted to eventually look like that woman. The next day Beck saw it and said to me "MOMMY THAT'S YOU! Where are you?" I just gave him a hug and kiss and said "I love you Beck". :)

Salemites
I figure today is as good as any to blog our life. I will try to keep it short and sweet.
Peter continues to get in trail runs and mountain biking whenever possible. He has had a slower month but in his words it was "the calm before the storm". He will be quite busy now with work and proposals for new projects.
I have begun the process to going back to school to get my pre-reqs for PA school. Crazy I know but I feel like this is what I need to do, especially with Peter's eyes and not being able to get disability insurance. I will probably begin this upcoming Fall. I also have begun officiating club volleyball here in Oregon. I participated in the training last weekend and am getting all of my paperwork and info squared away so I can begin doing it. My marathon training has started and is going very well. I am trying to be really good about getting my runs in...just need to be better about getting cross training and weights in.
Andrew is growing so much lately. He has been asking tons of questions lately about why things happen and so on. He is a huge helper with the other 2 and even though he pushes Beck's buttons ALOT, they still play like they are best friends.
Beck turns 3 this week and is definitely taking the last few days of being 2 to show his "Terrible 2s". I have been dealing with alot of screaming and crying lately because he can't seem to make anyone do what he wants when they don't want to do it. It involves falling to the floor and crying/whimpering for around 10 minutes. I know he will outgrow it but it can be frustrating as it is happening especially when he is doing it outside Camie's room while she is sleeping or on the short walk to take Andrew to preschool. He is still a cute kid and I love him to pieces. He can just get your heart to melt with his little smile and dimples.
Camie is crawling and pulling herself up on everything. The boys have now gotten her to start climbing the stairs which now means I have to teach her how to go down...we will see how that happens. She broke her first tooth this last week and has been dealing with a small fever as a result. She also is going through her attachment stage with me and really does not like to be held by anyone but me (I think it is elevated due to being sick and not feeling well).
We celebrated Parker and Beck's birthdays this last Saturday and had a blast. Beck requested a Robin cake (as in Batman and Robin). I made the cake and will have to put pictures up. I will also include pictures from the last little bit. We are watching DNA's kids this weekend in our turn while they are out of town.
We love you all and are getting more and more excited for the summer!

Long time Over due....
So considering I am still meaning to send out our Christmas card, obviously my mind has been so busy with other things that my blogging got put aside for a while.
December was a crazy month for us at the Olsen house:
- Camie began crawling and moving around over the holidays which has created a panic of having to keep all small things off the ground and preparing for blocking off stairs (which is a first for us).
- Peter sand in his first concerts with the Portland Mormon Choir. It was fantastic and he had a blast. He is looking forward to the next concert in April.
- We spent the week prior to Christmas and Christmas day in Vancouver. We had tons of fun celebrating and being able to be around family.
- Around 2 or 3 weeks before Christmas we found out we would have to make a trip to San Diego to attend Peter's brother's wedding. So 2 days after Christmas we got in our suburban and drove the 17 hour drive (with a stop at Peter's parents to break it up) down to Oceanside where we stay at a beachside house with all of Peter's family. We played in the sand and enjoyed the relaxing time with the family.
- While in Southern California, Peter and I celebrated our 7th anniversary by attending the San Diego temple. It was such a wonderful spiritual experience that I think it has become our favorite anniversary thus far.
- We also were able to take the kids to Disneyland and California Adventures. We had a blast playing and learning how the boys reacted to different rides. Andrew had issues with any drops or dark parts...quite funny to watch when we went on Thunder Mountain Railroad.
- We bought the boys a bunk bed over the holidays and they are loving it. I am so glad that we finally did it and it looks so good!
We are so glad to be back and finally able to get back on with life. This month we are preparing for Beck's 3rd birthday and for the beginning of my training for the Newport Marathon. It will be a fun month and we cannot wait to see what this year brings for us.

Shellburg Falls Trail Run
This run was a crazy run. When we first signed up, it was 6 miles with a big climb at the beginning but not bad. A week or so before the race, we went on a checked the site to find that they had changed it from a 6 mile to 7 mile run and the elevation profile was insane.
Meagan and Cory Allen came down from Battleground to run with us. They stay over at our house Friday night with Harris and we had a friend from our ward watch our kids and Harris while we all went to the race.
It was a beautiful day luckily after a week of rain. It was muddy and snowy though. The trail went all over the area there that is actually closed to the public and only open for logging. The race officials got special permission for the race to be run there. There was a lot of jumping over logs and the sort which definitely was a change for me. We were able to run behind the falls which was just awesome except for the fact that after you did that, you had to climb like 3 or 4 flights of stairs. The trail went back onto the logging roads and some of the hiking trails until it took us to "the hike" - basically a huge hill that is meant for mountain biking only (there were signs all over saying "Mountain Bikes Only"). It was quite the hill but the run was so beautiful and amazing to tun all through the trails and roads up there.
Meagan came in first of us 4 (6th in her age group), then Peter, then Cory, and then I came in Last of us 4. If you look at the results page, it will have Peter and me switched. When I checked us in, I grabbed both of our numbers and accidentally gave Peter my number and I took his. My brain wasn't working so well that morning :).
Overall, it was a blast and I cannot wait to do another one. Totally different than road running and I love the change in scenery. Peter has gotten me hooked. Now Meagan, Cory and Peter are planning to get me out Mountain biking. That will be interesting :).

Salemites
Well I guess it is about time that I updated you all on our wonderful exciting lives.
Peter
-auditioned for the Portland Mormon Choir and made it as a 2nd Tenor. He now is gone every Tuesday night up at rehearsals. He is loving it.
-busy trying to hire a new employee for his office.
-training for and running this weekend in the Leavenworth Half Marathon.
-Ran/Biked/Kayaked/Ate/Drank with Team Primeridge (Brent, Kim, Adina, and Myself) in the Oyster Race in Portland. We are already planning for next year...It was too much fun!
Andrew
-Started preschool and is going every Tuesday and Thursday. He loves having time away and being able to play with all the kids.
-Growing bigger each day...I had to buy a 5T shirt for him a couple weeks ago (CRAZY!)
-Loving on his little sister every chance he gets.
-Loves playing with his cousins especially on the xbox or the iphones.
Beck
-Not loving the fact he can't go to preschool yet...He throws fits every time we have to leave Andrew at Preschool.
-Potty Training...semi-successful right now. He has to wear pull ups at night due to the fact that even after waking him up to go, he still wet the bed and I was doing way too much laundry.
-Loves playing the chocolate chip game (EVERY DAY!) as does his older brother.
Camie
-5 Months old now...gone by so fast.
-Beginning to sit up on her own with the occasional fall down.
-Rolling over from front to back like a champ...not so much the other way around.
-Enjoys playing with Morgan...Morgan is going to be such a great babysitter one day.
-She is so active and is constantly moving.
Anne
-Playing another season of CoEd volleyball this Fall.
-Teaching 2nd Sunday Relief Society...very nerve racking at times.
-Working out and training for all the races we will be doing.
-Signed up for her first Marathon (YIKES!) - June 4th, 2011 Newport Oregon Marathon
-Sewing projects constantly and having fun finding new things to make...now if only I had all the money to do everything I want to...
Other than all of that...We are getting so excited to make the trip to California next week to visit Peter's parents and then onto Monterey to visit Mike and Brooke and the family. We are ready for a vacation after such a busy last couple months. We love you all and can't wait to have Marnie join us here in the Northwest.

Salemites
Well I thought I would come on to write a little. Things are good here in Salem. Sorry for the lack of pictures. Our camera went missing over memorial day weekend and has not shown up yet. We need to get on buying a new one. We have been taking pictures with Peter's work camera so I will have to get those on here.
Andrew is officially signed up for preschool and scheduled to start September 21st. He is only going to go 2 times a week right now due to the fact that he has 2 years before Kindergarten. Yes he could technically go next year but he would have just turned 5 and I want to have him be older before he goes. He made a trip up to Spokane, WA to spend a week at Peter's brother's house. It was weird not having him home. As much as it was nice to have only 2 kids for a couple days, I missed having the little guy around.
Beck is such a fun little boy to be around. Yes he can be so stubborn at times but he definitely makes up for it with his charm and sweetness. He is growing up so fast and becoming a little boy. He is on a car kick right now and it is funny to watch him line the cars up on the floor or on the table.
Camie is 4 months old now and is growing daily. She has such a cute personality and is such a good baby. She is squealing alot and loves to play with toys constantly.
Balancing 3 kids and cleaning the house is a daily goal. It is tough I will admit. So much to do, so little time. I am sure it will get better. :)
I just finished up my first coed rec vball season and am waiting for the next season to begin in September. I am also volunteering at South Salem HS with the volleyball program. Other than that, I am getting excited to do this Oyster Race in September. Team Prime Ridge is going to rock!

Salem Newbies
Here is coming to you from our new house in Salem. We moved in almost 2 weeks ago and it has been crazy since the minute we moved in.
-We moved in Saturday the 5th in the morning with the help of Mom and Dad and a few guys from our elders quorum in our new ward. We left almost right after moving in to head up to the Starlight 5K and Parade. We got back home around 1:30am and were in bed by 2:30am.
-We then had church the next day and immediately headed after to Mom and Dad's for Treven's birthday celebration. We got back home at 11:30pm and went to bed.
-Monday, I began my spinning class at the Y and then Peter got off early so we could spend an exorbitant amount of money at Dick's for the friends and family. We went straight from there to volleyball so I could play in the first night of the CoEd rec league I joined.
-Tuesday was an unpacking day and waiting for the cable and internet stuff to show up. Peter got home from work and we went out to shop for stuff for the house.
-Early Wednesday morning (1am) Beck woke up having thrown up in bed which meant I had to get up and clean up and start the massive loads of laundry. He then threw up at 4am and Andrew came in and threw up around 8am. We headed to the doctor's office for the first time here in Salem to find out that Andrew had a mild ear infection and they had both caught a bug somewhere (I am guessing either Kim's family gave it to us or they got it at the gym). Peter felt bad that morning and ended up staying home from work feeling like crap. Needless to say, my day was filled with taking care of my 3 sick boys and keeping them away from Camie.
-By Thursday morning we were all feeling somewhat better. We had to travel to Boise for Peter's work Summer party. We took off at noon and got back Sunday evening at 6pm. It was great to see friends but definitely sucked since we did not all feel in tip top shape.
-Monday was filled with cable guy in the morning, then off to Dave's practice for a filling and then some shopping with mom at IKEA and the Container Store.
-Yesterday was more of a relaxing day just getting things done when I can around the house.
Our house is still in boxes and I feel like I can't get anything done but Peter keeps reminding me that it is okay as long as we get a little done at a time.
Juggling 3 kids is hard I will say. Going out to stores and such is difficult and I am trying to come up with ways to not make it such a stressful event (any ideas???). The boys are both going thru stubborn stages and I am trying my hardest to not get so upset at them. They just love to be boys and we are dealing with alot of fighting between the 2 of them. Mom tells me it is just a stage and they will get better even though the fighting will not go away.
Camie is growing but of course she is still tiny. She is such a good baby and I couldn't have asked for a better baby. She is what I needed right now and I am so glad she puts up with me.
Peter is working harder and harder but is enjoying the 10 minutes of driving to work instead of 1 1/2 hours. We like it too! :)
I am sure this all seems like so much babbling but I thought I would get something out here since it has been forever. And yeah, no pictures as we lost our camera during the Gualala trip. Anyone seen it at all? Blue Sony Camera in a black case.

-We moved in Saturday the 5th in the morning with the help of Mom and Dad and a few guys from our elders quorum in our new ward. We left almost right after moving in to head up to the Starlight 5K and Parade. We got back home around 1:30am and were in bed by 2:30am.
-We then had church the next day and immediately headed after to Mom and Dad's for Treven's birthday celebration. We got back home at 11:30pm and went to bed.
-Monday, I began my spinning class at the Y and then Peter got off early so we could spend an exorbitant amount of money at Dick's for the friends and family. We went straight from there to volleyball so I could play in the first night of the CoEd rec league I joined.
-Tuesday was an unpacking day and waiting for the cable and internet stuff to show up. Peter got home from work and we went out to shop for stuff for the house.
-Early Wednesday morning (1am) Beck woke up having thrown up in bed which meant I had to get up and clean up and start the massive loads of laundry. He then threw up at 4am and Andrew came in and threw up around 8am. We headed to the doctor's office for the first time here in Salem to find out that Andrew had a mild ear infection and they had both caught a bug somewhere (I am guessing either Kim's family gave it to us or they got it at the gym). Peter felt bad that morning and ended up staying home from work feeling like crap. Needless to say, my day was filled with taking care of my 3 sick boys and keeping them away from Camie.
-By Thursday morning we were all feeling somewhat better. We had to travel to Boise for Peter's work Summer party. We took off at noon and got back Sunday evening at 6pm. It was great to see friends but definitely sucked since we did not all feel in tip top shape.
-Monday was filled with cable guy in the morning, then off to Dave's practice for a filling and then some shopping with mom at IKEA and the Container Store.
-Yesterday was more of a relaxing day just getting things done when I can around the house.
Our house is still in boxes and I feel like I can't get anything done but Peter keeps reminding me that it is okay as long as we get a little done at a time.
Juggling 3 kids is hard I will say. Going out to stores and such is difficult and I am trying to come up with ways to not make it such a stressful event (any ideas???). The boys are both going thru stubborn stages and I am trying my hardest to not get so upset at them. They just love to be boys and we are dealing with alot of fighting between the 2 of them. Mom tells me it is just a stage and they will get better even though the fighting will not go away.
Camie is growing but of course she is still tiny. She is such a good baby and I couldn't have asked for a better baby. She is what I needed right now and I am so glad she puts up with me.

Camie Cleone 4/16/10
I guess it is about time I got on a updated you all about the birth of Camie. I have been a little busy :)
Friday, April 16th was my scheduled induction and my doctor told me at my last appointment that he would not be there and that another doctor from the practice would be delivering Camie. Anyways, no big deal since I was at the point of "I don't care who takes this baby out of me, I just want her out". I was told to be at the hospital at 5:30 or 6am which of course I told Peter that it was 5:30am. So the morning of, Peter is rushing out the door to get there at 5:30 and as we are pulling out of the driveway, I tell him that they said 5:30 OR 6 and needless to say, he was not too jazzed that I had kept that from him.
Anyways, we ended up arriving at the hospital around 5:45 or 6 due to the stops we made to get Peter a Monster energy drink. They started me on Pitocin around 7 and then the waiting began. The doctor (who looks like Tobias from Arrested Development) came in around 8:30 to break my water. He did so and we continued the wait. Lots of waiting and 7 hours later, Kim and Treven stopped by to say hi. The nurse thought Camie might have been in a weird position and so she was moving me side to side trying to get her to move. I was dialated to a 6 or 7 for an hour or two. Within 5 minutes of Kim and Treven leaving, I started to feel alot of pain and was checked and I had gone from a 6 or 7 to a 10 in just that 1/2 hour. We called Mom and told her to get to the hospital immediately. It was a good thing they live so close to the hospital because she walked in when Camie was crowning. Camie was born at 4:33pm and was 7 lbs 4 oz and 19 inches long.
Camie is an angel and very quiet. Most times I have to wake her up to eat. She didn't even cry during the first bath at the hospital. Heavenly Father definitely knew what type of baby I needed at the time of busy-ness going on in our lives. We love her and the boys are loving having a baby sister. We feel so blessed to be able to have her as an addition to our family.

April 16th, 2010
Well that is the date of my scheduled induction for Camie. I just thought I probably needed to announce it to the family so that you all know what is going on here. We are getting very excited for her to join us. I will be 37 weeks on Wednesday and I am definitely ready for her to come.
Just as Peter announced, we rented out our home in Boise and are now in limbo at Mom and Dad's house until we figure out what we will do in Salem (rent/buy). Thanks to Mom and Dad for putting up with us being here for the time being. I don't know what we would do if we didn't have such great people to be willing to take us in. We love you and thanks so much.
It is weird to be in such a big house all alone but I am getting alot of company with Kim and Brent coming over alot. Thanks to all of you who are keeping me busy in these last few days of pregnancy and not having Peter here all the time. It is helping alot. Thanks.
Well now is the waiting game to see if she comes before April 16th. Otherwise she will be coming then and we will definitely let you know.
